How the Trips Work

Vela Ministries works in partnership with schools to plan and deliver short-term mission trips that are tailored to each school’s context, values, and goals.

The process typically includes:

  • Initial conversations with school leadership

  • Collaborative planning and timeline development

  • Pre-trip preparation for staff and students

  • In-country facilitation and support

  • Post-trip reflection and debrief

Trips are structured to balance service, discipleship, cultural engagement, rest, and reflection. Vela Ministries manages local partnerships, logistics, and on-the-ground coordination so schools can focus on student care and formation.

Each trip is guided by clear expectations, strong leadership structures, and a commitment to safety and dignity.
